Health Equity Assessment Toolkit (HEAT): A Review

The Health Equity Assessment Toolkit HEAT and HEAT Plus are part of a larger collection of tools and resources that were developed to support countries in monitoring health inequalities and strengthening their health information systems.  Many countries have their own tools for measurement of health equity, however it has been noted that often countries lack capacity for analyzing, reporting and using inequality data.  As well as this there has been no systematic global tool to facilitate this process, hence the development of HEAT, containing WHO data.
