HDC Knowledge Café: How to Measure Alignment: Methods and Findings from the SDG3 GAP Heat Map

8th Nov 2022 - 8th Nov 2022

Established in 2019, the Global Action Plan for Healthy Lives and Well-being for All (SDG3 GAP) is a set of commitments by 13 multilateral agencies to strengthen their collaboration. The SDG3 GAP offers a platform for collaboration, available to all countries, to support an equitable and resilient recovery towards the health-related SDGs. By deepening and scaling new ways of collaborating, SDG3 GAP multilateral agencies can achieve greater impact and improve efficiencies in aligning their assistance with country-led strategies.

In line with their commitment to account for progress made, the SDG3 GAP signatory agencies approved a monitoring framework expected to allow them to review progress, learn together and to enhance shared accountability. As part of the monitoring framework, SDG3 GAP signatory agencies have developed a short, annual questionnaire for national governments which aims at eliciting country perspectives on two main issues: how well aligned development partners’ support is to national priorities and plans, and how well development partners collaborate with each other.

The webinar will provide an opportunity to present the SDG3 GAP monitoring framework, including its methodology and to discuss how that data collected can support improving collaboration and alignment at country level.
