Why partner with HDC?
Addressing complex health data and digital health challenges requires diverse perspectives, expertise and collaboration to identify effective and sustainable solutions. No single organization has all the expertise, resources or reach needed to strengthen health information systems and digital health data ecosystems. Diversity—in geography, institutional perspectives and areas of expertise—therefore lies at the heart of the Health Data Collaborative (HDC).
HDC brings together more than 1,100 individual members worldwide from over 440 entities including national governments, multilateral and intergovernmental organizations, bilateral donors, philanthropic foundations, civil society organizations, global health initiatives, private-sector partners, and research and academic institutions.
This diverse community enables HDC members and partners to collectively leverage resources, expertise, tools, technologies and partnerships to support countries in strengthening their health data systems. By working together, members and partner organisations can align efforts, share knowledge, reduce duplication and mobilize complementary resources to address challenges common across countries.
Focused on country-level impact and committed to data for action, HDC works alongside governments and national stakeholders to improve the availability, security, quality and use of trusted health data. This supports better-informed decisions on policies, budgets and programmes, while strengthening the ability of countries to track progress toward national health priorities and the health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
