The power of collaboration and alignment: Uganda rallies stakeholders to plan together and support the digital health plan

The Ministry of Health Uganda brought together all stakeholders supporting health information systems in the country for a three-day meeting from 12th to 14th February 2024 for purposes of planning together and committing to implement the Health Information and Digital Health Strategic Plan 2020/21-2024/25 together.

 

"Planning is one thing, but effective implementation of the Uganda Health Information and Digital Health Strategic Plan 2020/21-2024/25 is another. Let us not falter at the implementation stage as we have in the past. It is imperative that we align our strategies, synchronize our efforts, and deliver tangible results this year. I emphasize the paramount importance of collaboration, partnership and alignment of partners to the government vision in advancing our healthcare agenda."

The main output of the meeting was stakeholders were updated on the progress of implementing the Health Information and Digital Health Strategic Plan, as well as reviewed and finalised the 2024 workplan for Health Information and Digital Health activities. This is a step in the right direction towards strengthening collaboration and alignment of stakeholders towards common country priorities.
